Absolutely! But only use the StripHair Gentle Groomer - Sensitive on furniture. The Original black Gentle Groomer is made of a different material composition and can leave marks. The red one should not, but it is always a good idea to test on material in an inconspicuous spot.  

With a light touch, apply the Gentle Grooming Edge at a 45-degree angle to dislodge pet hair from blankets and cushions.  It doesn’t need much pressure, and too much can wear down the edge rendering the groomer less effective.

Yes! The Gentle Groomer – Sensitive can be used on animals of all sizes. The material was selected with softness in mind for sensitive animals, which makes it perfect for small animals as well. As with any groomer made for larger pets, use only light pressure on cats and small pets.

The material of the StripHair Gentle Groomer is a custom-blend of rubber that was formulated with an extra “grip” factor for removing loose hair, comfortably and effectively.

- No sharp edges common to many other grooming tools, especially shedding blades which can scratch the skin and cause dander, or bristles that flick dander into the air.

- Flat edge design distributes natural oils from the skin into the coat hairs, which bind to dust and dander for easy removal during a grooming session.

- Stimulates blood flow for healthier skin and coat which can reduce hair loss.

Groom outdoors whenever possible, and well away from foot traffic areas that could bring the hair back inside the home.

While grooming, set a double layer of moistened paper towel beside you to place loose hair once removed during grooming. When finished, double over again to contain the hair and give a final pass over the coat after grooming to pick up any loose dander lying on the coat. Fold the moistened paper towel over one final time and dispose in a trash receptacle.

Note: As with using any grooming tool, take notice of your animal’s sensitivity in certain areas. Some areas may require a gentler touch, fewer passes, or there may be an irritation on the skin that needs attention.

For short coated breeds like the Boxer, Jack Russel Terrier, Bulldog, Greyhound, Great Dane and more, The Gentle Groomer is all you need to increase blood circulation, warm the fascia and muscles for improved mobility, remove loose and shedding hair from the coat, add shine to the coat, and make bath time easier for lathering and gently scraping off rinse water. This all-in-one tool that will simplify your grooming routine.  Long haired breeds will also need a comb or brush to manage the hanging hair and keep knots from forming in the coat. The StripHair Groomer is a great companion tool for long haired breeds for all the reasons noted for breeds with short coats.

Betty’s proprietary rubber blend was formulated to prevent the growth of bacteria and fungus. The rubber’s unique grip is a product of a complex formulation for optimal performance, with just the right amount of softness for comfort.   

For general cleaning, simply rinse with water or wipe with a dampened cloth. Mild soap and warm water or a disinfectant may be used to ensure contaminants are not passed on from one animal to another. Air dry.

The Gentle Groomer will not fray hairs like a metal shedding blade can, but rather smooths the hairs and distributes natural oils for a healthy shine. StripHair removes dirt trapped beneath the hair without any need for harsh movements or sharp edges. Using the flat edge of the StripHair Groomer will not irritate the skin or create dander as a metal tool can. And, the rounded corners and soft rubber material make the Groomer safe to use in sensitive areas like the face, belly, legs, skin folds and creases.
